Engage in a Financial Planning Relationship: Agree to proposed fees and sign engagement agreement. This is where we determine whether ongoing or project planning is the best fit.
Organize
Get organized: We spend 3-6 meetings getting to know you. We collect all your financial information and what is important to you. The number of meetings will vary on the complexity and scope of services. This is the foundation of all the work we do with our clients. We are very thorough to make sure we are on the same page before providing advice. After all, people don't care how much you know until they know how much they care about you.
Present
State of the Union Presentation: Garrett will present his evaluation and analysis of your current financial situation if you keep doing what you have been doing. This is a baseline to where we engage with you in conversations to better understand your goals, desires, and concerns moving forward. This meeting usually takes 90 minutes.
Recommend
Recommendations and Financial Projects Proposal: Garrett will work with you to prioritize your goals and projects and create a list of actionable steps that will allow for prompt positive change. This sets the foundation for all future work.
Implement
Project Implementation and Follow-Up: Garrett will provide professional guidance to help you confidently implement and complete identified projects. This often involves collaborating with other professionals like accountants, insurance professionals, lawyers, etc. None of the planning matters unless you actually get the work done.
Continue
Ongoing Service and Analysis: Garrett will work with you to ensure you are making the progress towards your projects and goals. We work with our clients through ongoing meetings to make sure you are on the right path and making adjustments as the view changes.
Meeting frequency varies depending on the need. It could be monthly, quarterly, semi-annually or something entirely different. We have often found that needs will ebb and flow just as life.
